Fusing the 3000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary

After a spectacular run through the Bellator Season 5 Bantamweight Tournament, Eduardo “Dudu” Dantas has earned his world title shot. With victories over Wilson Reis, Ed West and the explosive Olympian Alexis Vila, Dantas is just a win away from becoming a World Champion when he battles reigning Bellator Bantamweight world Champion  Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky in the Ballroom at Boardwalk Hall. The night will also see the return of Lyman Good, who rejoins Bellator after nearly a year away from the cage. Legendary Patti LaBelle, has spent over 50 years in the music industry, 16 years as the lead singer of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells, which changed their name to LaBelle in the early 1970s. LaBelle started her solo career after the group disbanded in 1977 and went on to release solo hits that included “On My Own”, “If Only You Knew” and “New Attitude”.  Charlie Wilson was the lead singer for the Gap Band and sang on four number one R&B hits including “Burn Rubber (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)”, “Early in the Morning,” “Outstanding,” and “Addicted to Your Love”. After a long hiatus, Wilson returned in 2000 with Bridging the Gap. In 2005 LP “Charlie, Last Name Wilson” hit the Top Ten thanks to the success of the title track and “Magic.” “Uncle Charlie” followed in 2009 and “Just Charlie” released in 2010. Johnny Gill began his recording career in 1983 when he released his debut solo featuring the hit “Super Love”. Traffic Advisory

Route 52 paving activity detailed in Somers Point


NJDOT officials announced a coordinated plan to finish the final surface paving and lane striping work this week on Route 52 (MacArthur Boulevard) between Mays Landing Road and Route 9 in Somers Point.
On Tuesday, April 3, Route 52 southbound will be closed to traffic between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. to complete milling and final paving work on that side of the highway.  Route 52 southbound motorists will be directed to Route 9 southbound to Mays Landing Road to Route 52.
On Wednesday, April 4, Route 52 northbound will be closed to traffic between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. to complete milling and final paving work on that side of the highway.  Route 52 northbound motorists will be directed to Mays Landing Road to Route 9 northbound to Route 52.
On Thursday, April 5, the contractor will finish final paving work on the outside shoulders, with one lane of traffic maintained in each direction shifted to the center of the highway.
NJDOT developed the plan to accommodate the residential area by minimizing night work while maintaining access to businesses, located closer to the Causeway, during day work.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (March 20, 2012) – It’s that time of the year again! In a few short days the Atlantic City Boardwalk Rodeo will make its return to Boardwalk Hall. More than 1,200 tons of special dirt will be loaded into the arena, stock will arrive, and the best cowboys and cowgirls in the world will be back in the saddle, competing for prize money and bragging rights. Some noteworthy riders who will be appearing at this year’s Rodeo include the number one Bull Rider in the world, Shane Proctor, prior World Champion Bull Rider Dustin Elliott, prior Saddle Bronc Champion Cody DeMoss, and one of Canada’s top Saddle Bronc riders, Kyle Thompson. The Industry Outreach Department of the PRCA will be offering fans who attend the Rodeo a unique interactive rodeo experience. The PRCA “Hall of Education” will allow interaction with rodeo cowboys, rodeo queens, and other personnel to try their hand at roping a dummy and learn about techniques of rodeo cowboys as well as equipment. The display will also feature information on the history of the sport of Professional Rodeo and extensive information on the livestock involved.

 

In addition, during Rodeo event days the Boardwalk Hall concourse will be transformed into the “OK Corral” with a variety of booths and sponsors offering western themed merchandise, clothing, and jewelry.

The NCAA Division 1 event skates into Boardwalk Hall for a two-day Championship beginning Friday, March 16 at 4:30 p.m. and continues Saturday, March 17. 2012 marks the 51st anniversary of ECAC Hockey and will be the second year that the championship will be held at Boardwalk Hall, hosted by the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority.

 

The 51st annual ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship features the following match-ups:

Session 1 Semifinals two games:

#4 Colgate vs. #1 Union    4:30 p.m.

The 2012 ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship marks the 10th year of the league's championship format featuring a 12-team championship held over three weekends.  From 1998-02, the league conducted a 10-team tournament with five teams advancing to the championship round. The 2012 League champion will receive an automatic bid to continue down the road to the Frozen Four.

 

Single-Session tickets are priced at $26 for the upper bowl and $31 for the lower bowl. The 2012 ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship will be a fun event for the whole family.  

Besides having the chance to see exciting games of college hockey, ticket holders also have

the opportunity to take part in other enjoyable activities before and during the games. On Friday, March 16, TD Bank will be hosting an on ice promotion where they will pick a lucky fan to try their hand at a shot on goal for a chance to win a cash prize. On Saturday, March 17, ShopRite will also be hosting two on ice contests. During the game, fans will have the opportunity to stop by the ShopRite booth to purchase foam pucks which they will be able to “chuck” onto the ice for a chance to win a cash prize. Legendary Patti LaBelle, has spent over 50 years in the music industry, 16 years as the lead singer of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells, which changed their name to LaBelle in the early 1970s. Their most popular song was the iconic disco song, “Lady Marmalade”.  LaBelle started her solo career after the group disbanded in 1977 and went on to release solo hits “On My Own”, “If Only You Knew”, “If You Ask Me To” and “New Attitude”.  Ms. LaBelle is not only a magnificent singer; she is also an accomplished actress of TV, movies and stage. The energy she brings to her performances is incredible, and has been so for decades.

 

Charlie Wilson was the lead singer for the Gap Band and sang on four number one R&B hits: “Burn Rubber (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)”, “Early in the Morning,” “Outstanding,” and “Addicted to Your Love”. After a long hiatus, Wilson returned in 2000 with Bridging the Gap, issued by Intersscope.  This album became an R& B hit and brushed the Top 200

album charts as well.  In 2005 LP Charlie, Last Name Wilson hit the Top

Ten thanks to the success of the title track and “Magic.” Uncle Charlie followed in 2009 and Just Charlie released in 2010.

Mother’s Day Concert

 

Johnny Gill began his recording career in 1983 when he released his debut solo featuring the hit “Super Love”. Gill teamed up with childhood friend Stacy Lattisaw for a duet album which featured their first hit together, “Perfect Combination.” He began a new chapter in his career in 1987 when he joined New Edition.  With Gill as one of the lead singers they released the album Heart Break, with songs such as “Can You Stand The Rain,” “N.E. Heartbreak,” “If It Isn’t Love,” and “Boys To Men.” He released a second self titled album in 1990 which included the hits “My, My, My,” “Rub You the Right Way,” “Fairweather Friend” and “”Wrap My Body Tight”. In 1993 he released another solo project Provocative, which included the song “Quite Time to Play.” And 199, Gill released “Let‘s Get the Mood Right.  In 1996, he collaborated with the Late Gerald Levert and Keith Seat to form the super group LSG (Levert/Sweat/Gill) which resulted in the multi platinum debut album, Levert-Sweat-Gill, and a follow up album in 2003 entitled LSG2.  On October 11, 2011, Johnny Gill released his sixth studio album called still waiting, which is his first album in 15 years. The first single off the album is called “In The Mood.
